In this activity, Dr Barton Jennings, MBBS, FRACP, Specialist in Respiratory Medicine and Sleep Disorders, discusses the importance of spirometry testing in general practice and demonstrates how to interpret spirometry results using real patient case studies.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course, participants should be able to:
- Conduct spirometry testing, ensuring accurate and repeatable tests
- Interpret spirometry results and differentiate between various ventilatory function patterns/defects
- Identify when to refer patients to a specialist.
