Learning outcomes
By the end of this series, participants will be able to:
- Summarise the difference between intravascular haemolysis (IVH), clinically significant extravascular haemolysis (cs-EVH) and breakthrough haemolysis and how to assess these in clinical practice.
- Discuss the use of biomarkers in the differentiation of IVH and cs-EVH.
- Discern between paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria patients with extravascular haemolysis vs other underlying causes of residual symptoms.
