This activity has been designed to increase your confidence in identifying and managing heart failure (HF) in a general practice setting.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Outline the importance of identifying patients with HF with mild to moderate symptoms (NYHA Class II-III)
- Discuss appropriate non-pharmacological and pharmacological strategies with an aim to reduce hospitalisation and improve quality of life in patients with HF
- Create a systematic approach to provide opportunities for the re-evaluation of HF symptoms in seemingly stable patients.
This course has been endorsed by the College of Nurses Aotearoa (NZ) for 1.5 hours of professional development. This endorsement is valid until June 2024.
